Sales Reps are the core of who we are here at MedScout. Each month, we want to recognize one of our users for standout utilization of MedScout and sales performance at their respective companies.
We are excited to announce our May MedScout Rep of the Month: Nick Scodary of CoreLink Surgical!
Nick Scodary has been an active MedScout user since January 2023. With his mindset that “Data is King”, Nick is using every feature of MedScout to differentiate himself in his sales efforts.

This past week, we had a chance to catch up with Nick to learn more about his experience with MedScout.
“Where are you located, and what territory do you cover?”
I am based in St. Louis. I cover Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
“How long have you been with CoreLink?”
I started eight (8) years ago. I started as the first Product Manager doing a mix of marketing, MedEd, and product management. About a year and a half ago, I moved into a more sales focused role.
“How do you use MedScout day-to-day?”
I have three ways that I leverage the product.
1. Identify targets that I’m unaware of
2. Selling people who are right on the edge of using our products
3. Maximizing, optimizing, and solidifying the business that we already have
“How do you use MedScout alongside a Physician?”
I use MedScout as part of the conversation around what CoreLink can do for the Physician. I will sit down and show them MedScout live in the office. I’ll create a custom territory on the map and then we’ll pull up the CPT codes for, let’s say, all of their Lumbar codes. I’ll use the filters to drill down to different specialties, and then they can choose someone they know. Then we’ll pull up a profile and go down the referral path. They always want access to it!
With referrals, they generally have an idea of where they refer to. They have less of an idea where the person they refer to refers to. It’s all anecdotal with these guys.
“What is your favorite feature of MedScout?”
CPT volumes, hands down.
“How do you celebrate big sales wins?”
Call everyone I know and talk about how cool it was. It’s a relationship-driven business so it’s like “rising water raises all ships”. If your team’s doing well, then you want to do well.
Summary
