Sales Reps are the core of who we are here at MedScout. Each month, we want to recognize one of our users for standout utilization of MedScout and sales performance at their respective companies.
We are excited to announce our August MedScout Rep of the Month: Aahana Kanyal at Profound Medical!
Aahana Kanyal has been an active MedScout user since July 2023. In August, Aahana added over 100 providers to her MedScout Pipelines to help enable her both in the web and mobile applications!

This past week, we had a chance to catch up with Aahana to learn more about her experience with MedScout.
“Where are you located, and what territory do you cover?”
I am currently based out of Boston and the territory that I cover is the Northeast. This can range from Maine down to Virginia or even the Carolinas.
“How long have you been with Profound and what is your role?”
I started in May 2023, so about four months now. I am an Associate Account Manager. The role is generating interest and generating leads. It’s more about educating, spreading the word, and getting leads to expand our client base.
“What is your background?”
I come from more of a research/clinical background. My background is Biomedical Engineering and I did a couple of years in Research, and after that did a Masters in Innovation and Managements. This was a lot of Entrepreneurship, marketing, and finance, but I understood that I really liked working with people and the intersection of people and technology, so that’s where Sales came in!
“What did it look like to find leads before MedScout?”
I started off with just Google searches to see Urologists or Radiologists near me. After that, I started taking a more targeted approach to try and find Physicians who valued robots and valued technology and going from there to build Pipelines.
“How has the process of finding leads changed with the implementation of MedScout?”
My pre-MedScout approach integrated really nicely because now I can actually see the procedural volume for the Physicians that are already using a robot for prostatectomies through the CPT codes. Once MedScout came in, the flexibility of being able to filter down by Urology or Radiology was also really helpful for me.
“How do you utilize the Mobile App?”
The mobile app has been very helpful in optimizing my route. I’m able to optimize the number of clinics that I see in a day. I can get from point A to point B without wasting time!
“What is your favorite feature of MedScout?”
Being able to compare volumes side-by-side. This really helps me to understand patterns.
“How do you celebrate big wins at work?”
I need to take more time to celebrate the wins! It’s more about talking with the team about these wins - we’re a small company and it’s a team effort to grow!
